The 5th International Forum on the Role of Customs Administration

The 5th International Forum on the Role of Customs Administration on Promoting and Facilitating Trade Among Silk Road Countries was held in Istanbul on 29-30 November 2012, which was organized by the Turkish Customs Administration.

During the Forum, representatives from Pakistan, Iran and Turkey have signed the Joint Statement on the ECO Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul Road Transport Corridor.

Mr. Adrian Albu, Deputy Secretary General of the BSEC-URTA made a presentation on behalf of the IRU on the TIR-IT tools to secure and facilitate trade among Silk Road Countries and the TIR EPD Green Lanes.

 In the conclusion, participants adopted the Forum Declaration.
