30th MEETING OF THE BSEC-URTA MANAGEMENT COUNCIL

30th Meeting of the BSEC-URTA Management Council was held in Istanbul on 25 January 2013.  The Management Council adopted the BSEC-URTA Priorities in 2013, as followings:

a)    Further enlargement of the geographical coverage of the BSEC Permit and extension of its usage on a voluntary basis of its usage to the 3rd country transport

b)    Introduction in the region of the International Vehicle Weight Certificate under Annex 8 to the UN Harmonisation Convention, 1982.

c)    Promotion of Implementation of the TIR-EPD Green Lanes and Single Window on the main  road transport corridors in the BSEC region

d)    Support the implementation of transport, auxiliary and logistic infrastructure development according to the IRU Model Highway Initiative (MHI) along the Black Sea Ring Highway.

Management Council also noted and expressed its appreciation of the event organized by UNTRR, namely “The Most Beautiful Truck and Chopper Festival in 2013” in Targu Mures, Romania on 21-22 September 2013. Management Council gave its support for the organization of such event and agreed to give necessary support for participation of BSEC-URTA and its Member Associations in the event. More information on this event will be provided by UNTRR later in due time.
