Bilateral cooperation between AULT and BSEC-URTA

At its 38 meeting in Istanbul on 4 February 2016, BSEC-URTA Management Council considered development of bilateral cooperation between the Arab Union of Land Transport (AULT) and the Union of Road Transport Associations in the Black Sea Region (BSEC-URTA), and decided to recommend to 29th meeting of BSEC-URTA General Assembly to be held in Bucharest on 26 May 2016, granting Observer status to AULT without any financial contributions on reciprocity basis.

It was agreed to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between AULT and BSEC-URTA, which could offer a common framework for enhancing future mutual collaboration across the Arab countries and BSEC region.

The meeting on the occasion of a special signing ceremony of MoU between AULT and BSEC-URTA under the aegis of IRU as well as the Roundtable with the subject "Regional cooperation between the BSEC-URTA and AULT as part of the IRU regional policy in the countries of the BSEC and the Arab League region" held in Chisinau (Moldova) on 18 March 2016.
