Quick and Economic Arbitration Solutions for Road Transport Industry in the BSEC Region

The Cooperation Protocol between BSEC-URTA and Istanbul Arbitration Center (ISTAC) was signed on 7 November 2017 in the ISTAC Headquarters in Istanbul.

The BSEC-URTA President Ms. Asli Gozutok highlighted that the above mentioned cooperation is win-win case and, doubtless will bring good outcome for the transportation sector.

In the opinion of the BSEC-URTA Secretary General Mr. Haydar Ozkan, the horizons which opens the collaboration will create both solutions and challenges, but each of them  pushing the speedy transportation sector forward.

The President of the ISTAC Executive Board Prof. Dr. Ziya Akinci underlined that the next step after the signing of the Protocol will be the creation of the work flow chart, which includes the joint activities of two stakeholders.

The Cooperation Protocol between BSEC-URTA and ISTAC aims to cooperate in promotion, announcement and spreading of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods of ISTAC to BSEC-URTA members, operating in road transport sector. Also, it assumes organization of conferences, trainings and lectures about the ISTAC Arbitration & Mediation Rules, provision by BSEC-URTA of a contact point service and list of persons that may be able to serve as arbitrator or expert.
