BSEC-URTA Calls Special Attention of Parliamentarians to Problem of Waiting Times in Land Border Crossings

The 51st Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly was held in Tirana, Albania, on 20-21 June 2018. BSEC-URTA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Alpdogan Kahraman took part in the meeting.

In his presentation he described Bsec-urta activities. Mr. Kahraman highlighted projects on digitalization of bsec Permits, e-tir, e-CMR, cooperation with Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC). He requested support of members of parliaments to connect Silk Road to Bsec countries with facilitation measures such as Single Window applications.

BSEC-URTA Deputy Secretary General thanked and congratulated Pabsec. He expressed gratitude to Vice President of PABSEC Mr. Petar Kanev and generally Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation for participation in the 33rd Meeting of the BSEC-URTA General Assembly. Mr. Alpdogan Kahraman shared with the parliamentarians the essential problem of waiting times in land borders which was one of the most important items of the BSEC-URTA General Assembly Meeting. He requested support of parliamentarians to implement recommendations based on results and analysis of bsec-urta Working Party on Border Crossing Problems in the BSEC Region in their parliaments.
