Two Presidents met in Belgrade

A Delegation headed by its President, Ms. Asli Gozutok met the President of the Serbian Association of International Road Hauliers “Medjunarodni Transport”, Mr. Nedjo Mandic, and its delegation on the occasion of a working visit in Belgrade on 18 April 2019.

The purpose of the visit was strengthening the cooperation process between the two organizations and coordination of common actions in regard of facilitation of road transport of goods in the region, increase of safety and security of road transport and prevention of illegal immigration.

It was decided that the above mentioned issues will be also addressed to Members and Observers during the forthcoming 35 Meeting of BSEC-URTA General Assembly to be held in Istanbul on 28 May 2019.

At the same time the Delegation of Medjunarodni Transport highlighted that recently strict provisions in regard of the usage of the digital tachograph with very high penalties for infringement of rules and procedures related to the implementation of the AETR Convention were introduced in the Serbian legislation.

It was decided that BSEC-URTA International Secretariat will announce this very important information for the international hauliers performing road transport operations to / through Serbia through its website.
