Turkish, Moldovan and Ukrainian Ministries of Transports combined their forces for digitalization of road transport

One of the priorities of BSEC-URTA is the further development of BSEC Permits, meanwhile, the era of technology dictates the need to digitize it.

 

In this regard, the first technical meeting on BSEC electronic-permit Pilot Project was held on 10-11 March 2020 in Ankara with the delegations from the Republic of Turkey, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, they declared their readiness and strong will to develop electronic permit.

 

In the meeting, which became the first step of digitalizing BSEC permits, delegations informed each other about their road transport permit systems and exchanged information and opinions on the perspective of e-permit system under the umbrella of BSEC.

 

After fruitful discussions, delegations designated contact points and

agreed to start the elaboration and implementation of the e-permit pilot project under the supervision of BSEC PERMIS.

 

It is also agreed to realize the second technical meeting to be held in Moldova within 2020.

 

In the end of the meeting a protocol containing the minutes of the meeting, designing the future road map was signed by the representatives of Turkey, Moldova and Ukraine,  BSEC PERMIS, BSEC-URTA, IRU and TOBB.
